The yearly town of Darien Memorial Day Parade will be hung on Monday. May 28. As in past years, the parade course keeps running from Goodwives Shopping Center on Old King's Highway North, up Brookside Road out to the Boston Post Road and closures at the Veterans Cemetery situated at Post Road and Hecker Ave. The parade ventures off instantly at 10 a.m.
Drivers are encouraged to expect delays in the downtown territory in the vicinity of 9:30 and 12:30 p.m. as the Post Road will be shut to all activity for the security of members and onlookers.
